Meet Courtney: A Creator Where Beauty Meets Self-Expression
My name is Courtney, and I am a lifelong lover of beauty. I am endlessly inspired by all corners of the beauty world, from unboxings and try-ons to tutorials and routines. I am always excited to discover something new, test it for myself, and keep learning as I go.
I actually became a UGC creator by accident. A close friend of mine was already creating content, and we could talk about makeup for hours. One day, she encouraged me to start sharing my ideas in a blog-style format, so I did. From there, the journey grew in ways I never expected. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to experience products I genuinely love and share them with an amazing community. Along the way, I have met so many inspiring, talented people.
What I love most about creating beauty content is the connection. There is something special about seeing how differently people express themselves through makeup and skincare. The creativity in this space is endless. People create looks and routines I would never have imagined, and it constantly reminds me that beauty is its own kind of art.
Of course, there are challenges too. One of the most demanding parts of content creation is adapting as platforms evolve. Algorithms change, formats shift, and new apps appear. It can be difficult to understand how to reach the people who would truly benefit from what you share. But that constant evolution also keeps it exciting. You are always learning, experimenting, and refining. When I started, there were no short-form videos or TikTok. It was simply a photo-based app. Now there are countless ways to create and connect, and that growth keeps me curious and motivated.
The most important thing I have learned is to never get discouraged. Do it because you love it. Content creation has opened doors I never imagined and given me opportunities to grow both creatively and personally. Learning, adapting, and evolving are all part of the process. When you truly love what you do, you do it first and foremost for yourself.
I hope that when people watch my content, they feel encouraged to care for themselves a little more deeply. Choosing the right products matters, but the real luxury is taking the time to pause, breathe, and do something nurturing just for you. Skincare and beauty can be an act of self-respect and self-love, not a pressure to be perfect.
For anyone just starting and feeling unsure, my advice is simple: do it anyway. No one begins with all the answers. We learn as we go, and we grow with each step. I feel unsure all the time, but I show up anyway. I always remember what Rihanna once said when she was asked how to be confident: “I pretend.” So pretend you are hanging out with your best friend, have fun, and let yourself enjoy the process. Above all, do it for you.
