Brand/Product Answers
Q: How long has the company been in business?
A: YEOUTH was founded in 2015 by Kevin Mallory, a cosmetic chemist with over 30 years experience. All YEOUTH formulas are developed and products manufactured in the YEOUTH laboratory and production facility located in the USA.
Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Most YEOUTH products are vegan. Non-vegan products are Day/Night Cream (contains snail extract), Neck Firming Cream (contains beeswax and xantham gum), Retinol Eye Cream (contains whey), and Retinol Moisturizer (contains whey).
Q: Are your products gluten free?
A: Yes, all YEOUTH products are gluten free.
Q: Do you test on animals?
A: We never test on animals.
Q: Are your products cruelty free?
A: Yes, all YEOUTH products are cruelty free. We do use snail extract in our Day/Night Cream but the snails are not harmed or exposed to any harsh conditions.
Q: Are YEOUTH products hypoallergenic?
A: Yes. All YEOUTH products are hypoallergenic.
Q: Where are your products manufactured?
A: All YEOUTH products are manufactured in the USA.
Q: Where do you get your raw ingredients?
A: The majority of raw ingredients used in our formulas are produced in Asia. There are extremely few companies in the United States that manufacture these ingredients and virtually all skin care products available for purchase in the US use raw materials produced in Asia. YEOUTH has thoroughly investigated and vetted several raw material suppliers and is 100% confident of the manufacturing quality of their materials.
Q: How can I determine the expiration date of your products using the lot code?
A: The first two digits in the code denote the month the product was manufactured. The second two digits denote the year. The last two digits denote the lot run, which is not part of the date of manufacture. All YEOUTH products have a three-year life span with the exception of Hyaluronic Acid Plus which lasts for two years.
Q: Do you offer products wholesale?
A: Yes. Please email us at gabrielle@yeouth.com for wholesale information. Please note that re-selling our products on any Amazon Marketplace platform is strictly forbidden.
Q: Why did I receive some of my products without plastic wrap?
A: YEOUTH is taking steps to join the global effort in reducing plastic waste. Currently, the shrink wraps and shrink bands covering our products are made of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) which is not biodegradable. We believe that discontinuing the use of LDPE to wrap our products would significantly lessen the environmental impact. YEOUTH is working to source biodegradable shrink wrap and will be using this material in the near future.
Q: Why does the new packaging of Retinol Serum no longer say there is 2.5% Retinol in the serum?
A: YEOUTH now sells worldwide. Europe does not allow anti-aging products to be labeled with a percentage of any key ingredient, so the packaging was updated to comply. YEOUTH Retinol Serum still contains 2.5% retinol and the formula has not changed.
Q: Are YEOUTH products FDA approved?
A: The FDA does not approve cosmetic products. Moreover, there are no government institutions which have oversight of the cosmetic industry in the USA.
