How Art Helped Pooja Rebuild Her Life
At YEOUTH, we believe that beauty is more than skin deep—it’s found in the strength, resilience, and real-life experiences of the people who use our products every day. That’s why we created Real People. Real Stories.—a space to share the inspiring journeys, challenges, and life lessons of our YEOUTH community.
These aren’t skincare testimonials. They’re stories of growth, self-love, and transformation—told by real people, for real people. Whether it’s a moment of personal triumph, a fresh start, or a powerful lesson learned, each story is a reminder that we’re all in this journey together.
Welcome to a place where beauty meets authenticity.
Real People. Real Stories.
Pooja’s Story: Where Art Became Healing
I have been creating since I was a child. Art followed me through school, museums, and family trips. Even when life pulled me in different directions, I always found myself connected to creativity through interior design, fashion, baking, dance, or poetry.
Everything changed in the summer of 2019. I lost my younger brother, and my world felt heavy and unclear. Grief pushed me into depression, and I began questioning my purpose. I started to meditate to find balance, hoping it would guide me to something meaningful.
One day in meditation, I saw a vision of myself painting a powerful woman. That moment brought me back to a memory of sitting with my brother at our coffee table. I would paint while he read. We did not need words. We understood each other. I still feel his encouragement in my life.
I followed the vision and joined a local art class. I had no idea where it would lead, but I knew I needed to move. I also visited a culinary school because cooking brings me peace, but when the world shut down, I ended up in an art mastery program instead. That choice changed everything.
Art became my healing. Every painting told a part of my story. I painted women with strength and depth. I painted experiences from places I lived, people I met, and the emotions we all carry. I painted boldness because I needed to become bold again. Art helped me heal in a way I never expected.

Why I Create the Way I Do
As a mixed media artist, my mood guides my materials. In 2019 I aimed for perfection because I was rebuilding myself. Today I create from a place of freedom. My art feels present and expressive. Every medium teaches me something about myself.
I work in series. Right now I am creating florals because I want to bring beauty into the world. Flowers comfort people when life is hard, and they celebrate people when life is joyful. Letting go of perfection helped my art grow, and I want to keep evolving. I hope to explore pieces inspired by my heritage next.
Why I Teach
I never imagined I would teach art. I always helped my children and friends, but I doubted myself. My best friend pushed me to try, and it changed me. Teaching has become a gift in my life.
I now teach children as young as four and adults up to eighty. Seeing their pride when they finish a piece fills my heart. Each student walks in with a goal, and watching them reach it brings me joy. My creativity has grown because teaching opened a new part of me. I love guiding others through the same healing and self discovery that art gave me.

A Message From Me to You
If you are walking through fear, doubt, change, or a hard season, I want you to know you are not alone. We all face moments where we question who we are and what we can do. The turning point is when you decide to show up anyway.
Do the things that make you feel alive. Create. Explore. Try again. Healing comes through the act of showing up for yourself.
You may not love every piece you make, but someone else will connect with it. Art opens a door to self expression and inner peace. When your mind fills with doubt, tell yourself “I can.” I look in the mirror on difficult days and remind myself: “I am capable. I can do this.”
Small words can change your direction. They changed mine.
