It’s time to get your skin summer ready!
1. Cucumber and Aloe Vera Face Mask
This mask is sure to soothe and soften your skin. Both cucumber and aloe vera are well known for their skin calming properties.
Cucumbers also improve skin complexion and bring skin rejuvination by tightening pores and fading dark, uneven skin spots. Aloe vera has nutrients that serve as anti-inflammatory, which calms and brings your skin to its stress-free state.
Ingredients:
Cucumber -- 8 pieces, peeled and chopped
Aloe Vera Gel – 4 tablespoons full
Instructions: Put the cucumber inside a blender until it turns into a lush, thick, gooey consistency. And then, transfer it into a bowl. Pour in the aloe vera gel, and mix it well. Apply it onto your face evenly (make sure your skin is a bit damp). Let it sit for about 20-25 minutes. After, rinse and dry face.
2. Coconut Oil and Brown Sugar Scrub
This facial scrub is a great (not to mention delicious!) way to brighten up your skin. Coconut oil has been known for its brilliant anti-aging properties. It does this by rejuvinating the skin and nourishing it by letting all of its proteins interact with the skin on a cellular level, thus bringing repair.
Ingredients:
Brown Sugar – 3 tablespoons full
Coconut Oil – ½ cup
A jar
Instructions: Pour in the coconut oil onto a jar, and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until the oil melts well. Then, put in the brown sugar and mix it until its particles dissolve. And then, using your fingers, apply it with a circular motion onto your skin, and just enjoy its nourishing and exfoliating wonder!
3. Oatmeal and Honey Face Mask
This mask not only smells majestic, but it actually also works wonders for dry and acne-pone skin. Oats has anti-inflammatory properties, and honey has both antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Together, you have a beauty mixture that is great for washing away acne and comedones. Now, aside from oats and honey, this face mask will include lemons and olive oil. Lemons enhance the antibacterial properties of honey, and the olive oil is responsible for leaving your skin beautifully moisturized.
Ingredients:
Ground oats -- 2 tablespoons ground oats
Warm water – 1 tablespoon
Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
Lemon – 1 slice extract
Honey – 1 tablespoon
Instructions:
Pour in your oats into a blender and blend it until they become fine (the less grainy and chunky, the better!) – you also have the choice to use a mortar and a pestle for this. Mix the oats with the hot water, and squeeze in there the lemon extract. Mix it all together, and voila, you have your instant beautifying face mask!
